One-Bowl Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

The best, super moist banana bread recipe that is simple to make in just one bowl and full of decadent chocolate chips!

Prep: 15 minutes plus cooling   Bake: 1 hour 5 minutes   Serves: 10

INGREDIENTS

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour plus additional for dusting
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ⅓ cup plus 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Spray 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray; dust bottom and sides of pan with flour.
  2. In large bowl, whisk eggs; add bananas and mash with fork spoon. Stir in sugar, oil, vanilla extract and salt. Sift flour and baking soda into egg mixture; stir until just combined. Fold in ⅓ cup chocolate chips; spread batter in prepared pan and sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons chocolate chips. Bake bread 1 hour 5 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and top is golden brown.
  3. Cool bread in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; run a small knife around edge of pan to loosen and invert onto rack to cool completely. Cut bread into 10 (¾-inch-thick) slices.
